RD CELL
As envisaged by National Educational Policy (2020) to promote quality Research in Higher Education System and for the attainment of targets of Atma -Nirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India) by integrating Research, Innovation and Technology Development St. Joseph’s College of Education established Research and Development Cell to create a research and innovation ecosystem in the Institution.
The Next Generation Teacher Education at SJCE; the megaproject designed in the context of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals aims to develop Teachers as Research Undertakers.
The RD cell promotes researches in Education addressing the social, moral, environmental and health issues. As a teacher education institution focusing on quality education designs innovative pedagogical and theoretical models for solving educational problems at different levels through a collaborative effort among student teachers and teacher educators.

Research Guidance
Our faculty members are guiding Ph.D, M.Phil, and M.Ed. scholars of universities.
Research Consultancy
Faculty members act as research and educational consultants for various educational programmes of the cooperative schools.
Research Facilities
The facilities available in the college such as Research discussion room, Library resources, INFLIBNET, UGC Net Resource Centre, Psychology Lab, ICT resources etc provide ample opportunities for faculty members and students to undergo research in specific areas.
Research Commitees
The college has Research and Publication Committee for the promotion of research and Institutional Innovation Committee for the promotion of innovations by faculty and student teachers.
Research Forums
Interactive forums such as “Triumvirate, Physica Scientia, Blaze Trailors, Tongue Native Phillia and Natura”, functions as forums for enrichment and collaboration in research and innovations.
Research Projects
Faculty members undertake funded and non-funded research programmes at International and National Levels.
Classroom Based Research Projects
In order to assure quality in educational endeavors student teachers engage in Classroom Based Research Projects under the guidance of faculty members in different dimensions of teaching learning process such as innovations, remediations, enrichment and resource material development.
Action Research
Student Teachers also undertake Action Researches during their internship to address educational problems faced in their classrooms
Seminars and Conferences
The college organizes International and National level seminars/conferences and directs all faculty members and student teachers to participate and present papers in various International, National and state level conferences, seminars, workshops and training programmes related to educational research for their personal and professional development.
Value Added Course
The college offers value added certification course in Educational Research for interested students.
Research Publications
Faculty members regularly publish research articles related to Education in International and National reputed journals. They also publish research-oriented books in their respective areas.
